Died today of kidney failure
Age-13

It is amazing how attached you become to these animals. They become part of the family. Beautiful cat. Could have been a "show-cat." She just 'appeared' at our house many years ago.. Starving. The cat moved in and that was that. Nancy and I will miss that cat!

Sorry about your loss. We lost our cat a couple of years back due to the same thing.

I have a all black tom nammed "dammit". Where I go so does he. They are part of our lives, hearts and souls.Sometimes it take a cat to teach us humility and humanity.
    RIP Bossy.

I'm sorry for the loss.. it's amazing isn't it... how they seem to fill the empty space in our lives... I was trying to figure of the age of my oldest cat, Carmelia Soprano today. What a beautiful tuxedo cat Bossy was! I know what it feels like to have that little part of your heart missing. :-(

I am so sorry for your loss. I had cats when I was growing up and dogs. I have had dogs throughout my adult life. We lost our chihuahua Rascal 5 1/2 years ago he was 16 1/2 years old. He too died of kidney failure. It is so hard to lose them because they are part of the family. I know that you are hurting and know that warm thoughts are sent your way.:)

Yeah, I just lost one of my Mini-Schauzers at age fourteen.

If you miss Bossy as much as I miss Percival, your are going through a tough time.

    My thoughts are with you.

Sorry to see this. It is amazing how something like a cat, can often be regarded as a bothersome pest, and then be really missed when it is gone.

I too would like to offer my condolences.

Our four-footed friends are truly blessings sent into our lives.

I'm so sorry to hear about Bossy... My dog Copper (14 yrs old) is getting "up there" and I dread the day that he finally packs his bags and goes home...

Sorry to hear about that AR. I grew up with dogs and we've had both cats and dogs over the years. Right now we have two dogs. They do become an incredible part of your life. I enjoy taking these two characters out for these nice fall walks at the end of a work day with my wife. We all benefit from it. Only people who have animals know the feeling of loss you get when they leave us.

    "For Bossy"
    The Last Battle
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this -- the last battle -- can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where to my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
    Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close -- we two -- these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
