It is funny how you will do an editorial and almost forget about it. But, a year later, the topic will break as a big story.
The Charlie Sheen story is one of those editorials.
Some people are surprised by the idea that Charlie Sheen might narrate a movie version of the "Loose Change" web site theory that the US government helped blow up the World Trade Towers on 9/11. That terrorists had little to do with it. They were just pawns.
If you read The Angry Republican, you are NOT surprised. Almost a year ago, (March 26, 2006, at- 7:54 AM) we put out a story about how Charlie had already been talking with the author of Loose Change.
Unfortunately, the video I had (back in March, 2006) is no longer available because of copyright. But it detailed a conversation sheen had with a CNN showbiz reporter. In the video, Sheen talks about how unbelievable it is that the buildings fell straight down. That some people heard a "blast" before it fell.
When I first heard the news last year, I had this to say about Charlie:
"Say it isn't so Charlie? Man, this is a tough one for me."
I have followed the career of Charlie Sheen for years. I always felt bad for him. He suffered with demons like many of us have with alcohol and drugs, etc.
But then he hit his stride with comedies where he spoofs himself and the "tough guy" movie roles. I loved Charlie in the "Hot Shots" movies where he slams images of Tom Cruise and Rambo.
When Michael J Fox had to leave "Spin City." I think Sheen did a fine job stepping in. I love his current show- "Two and a half men." I think it is one of the funniest shows on TV today.
Charlie Sheen has now joined a group of people who believe the American government blew up our own buildings on 9/11 and blamed it on Osama bin Laden. The reason would be, (I guess) to go to war.

Charlie… Charlie.. WHY?
I will probably still watch the show. Mainly because I think the writing is top-notch (a tad too perverted). A solid cast- Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones, Holland Taylor, Marin Hinkle, Canchata Ferrell, and Melanie Lynshey.
But, I will not be able to get the thought of Charlie Sheen becoming a "nut-job" 9/11 conspiracy theory subscriber. Man.. Charlie, if you wanted to send a torpedo into the side of a hit CBS TV show and blow the crap out of it. I think you found a way.
Politics, Fame, and Religion. You should never mix the three. It is almost as deadly as drinking Grain Alcohol with no mixer.

Update-
I did actually quit watching the show. Not necessarily because of this Charlie Sheen controversy, I started to do other things with the blog sites on Monday and didn't keep up with the show.
I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but CBS lost one viewer- ME. I watched that show faithfully until I heard that Sheen believes the 9/11 conspiracy theory.
I see Rosie O'Donnell also believes this theory. (Does that surprise anyone..??)

Seriously though, the Project for the New American Century written by the people in power openly prays for a "Pearl Harbor Event" to justify imperialist goals.
Building 7 was not struck by anything why did it fall? Fire in the basement you say? A steel building would have to burn for something like 6 days straight to collapse, also the term "Pull" was used by the city (a demolition term)?
There is still unreleased video of the Pentagon being hit, why is this not being released?
Dont you think its a little odd that NORAD was running an exercise of the exact 911 event as the morning of 911 unfolded.
Pearl Harbor was allowed to happen to mobilize the public against Japan FACT.
Hitler burned down the Reichstag to mobilize the Germans against the Jewish threat.
Almost 5 and a half years later we have not captured the perpetrators, used the incident to start a war in a country that had nothing to do with 911, given the President sweeping new powers that encroach on violating personal freedoms and restricted travel within our own country for our own citizens. In addition to that we have nullified any international Geneva standards for prisoner handling, positioned the door wide open for torture and generally pissed the entire world off.
If none of this bothers you than get in line with the rest of the Neo-Con bastards. I truly hope that it will be open season on Neo-Con idealists once this administration is exposed for the liars, gangsters and murderers they really are.
Charlie Sheen is a patriot for having the balls to ask why, your coward for being scared of what he might find. There is no such thing as a coincidence!
