Sometimes things happen that just make you say- "Whooaa. am I reading this correctly."
Rounding up the Democratic "Winter Meeting," an Imam lead the Democrats in a prayer.
The Democrats all bowed their heads as the Imam delivered this prayer-
In the name of God the most merciful, the most compassionate. We thank you, God, to bless us among your creations. We thank you, God, to make us as a great nation. We thank you God, to send us your messages through our father Abraham and Moses and Jesus and Muhammad. Through you, God, we unite. So guide us to the right path. The path of the people you bless, not the path of the people you doom. Help us God to liberate and fill this earth with justice and peace and love and equality. And help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression and occupation. Ameen.
Now,
If you go to World Net Daily, they have a fellow by the name of Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch and author of "The Truth about Muhammad." He is rooting around this "prayer" and believes this prayer is a call for the democrats to join Islam and help wipe Israel off the map.
Interesting..!!
But I will not go that far. I do not believe most democrats are looking to join up with the religion of Islam. Nor, do they want to destroy Israel. They just do not want us to call Israel- "A Friend."
What I find interesting is that Democrats would have any religious service connected to their party. I realize that democrats were being "politically correct" and inviting a person of the Muslim faith to pray. But isn't it mostly liberals who demand "separation of church and state.??"
How do liberals feel about an "Imam" praying at the Democratic Winter Meeting..??

You pair that story with this one-
The college of William and Mary, a state college in Virginia, in the historic Wren Chapel- there has been an 18 inch cross that has been displayed in the chapel since 1940.
The Dean ordered this cross removed-
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) Dean Nichol ordered the cross removed in October to make the chapel more welcoming to students of all faiths.
10,000 supporters signed an "on-line" petition to have the cross placed back into the chapel. 1,100 believe the removal of the cross is a good thing.
We conservatives usually know how a story like this turns out. Most of the time a majority is thrown out the window in favor of "one mans rule." But not this time…
In response to early protests, Nichol decided in December to return the cross to the chapel on Sundays, and he recently created a committee that will examine the role of religion at public universities and the use of the chapel
.I believe it is working.
Democrats are finally listening to the majority. They are having meetings with prayers. (Though, I wouldn't have picked Islam to be the religion of choice during this current war.) Democrats are starting to listen to students in college, on matters of religion.
Now, if we can just make them see the importance of fighting terrorism.

I didn't put it in the story above, but- The way they handled things for years was if someone wanted the cross removed for some special event they would remove the cross so another religion could use the chapel.

Like I said in the post. Democrats are doing this to be politically correct.
I wonder how many other times, in the past, the democrats have had an Islamic Imam say the closing prayer?
That might be a thing to investigate? How many times have the democrats had Imam's delivering this prayer? It would be nice to see that it wasn't just this one time.
I wonder if the democrats have had a Voo Doo Priest do a closing prayer.
You know, to show that the democrats are not "Voo Doo- phobic."
I'm surprised you didn't gaffe the point that this was called the "Winter Retreat" in previous years.
Anyways good post, it would be interesting to see a party appeal to the pagan's through voodoo or witchcraft.

As for the democrats...for some reason i am NOT surprised this happened. It was only a matter of time. Those hypocrits-"seperate church and state" my butt[TONGUE][LOL]
It was a big deal to liberals several years back. Now they have dropped the idea.
